Joanna Hawrot is an artist, designer and CEO of HAWROT. For over fourteen years she has developed her FROM FASHION TO ART philosophy, building a language at the intersection of fashion, contemporary art and performance. In her work, clothing is not merely functional — it becomes an image, an object and a carrier of stories.

Hawrot’s signature is a European interpretation of the kimono: a form that is reduced, transformed and opened to new meanings. She treats fabric as an exhibition space, translating painting, photography and installation onto it, then activating it through the body, movement and presence.

Her practice encompasses collections, costumes, artistic textiles, exhibitions, installations and performative works. Developed in dialogue with artists and cultural institutions, it consistently shifts the boundary between a work of art and an object that can be worn.
